Bluegiga ist ein finnisches Unternehmen spezialisiert auf Bluetooth Module. Mit dem Bluetooth Access Point Bluegiga WRAP Server, in Verbindung mit dem Software Development Kit und dem Bluetooth Solution Manager als Lösung für einen Distributionsserver kann ein komplettes Bluetooth Marketing System aufgebaut werden:



Der eigentliche Bluetooth Transmitter ist der Wrap Server (s. erstes Bild). Die Daten dazu sind (lt. Hersteller, Stand 14.05.2007):

Die Größe ist mit 130*80*35 mm noch im grünen Bereich.

Ich hatte vor einem Jahr mal ein Gerät im Test (ohne SDK und dem Solution Manager), gut gefallen hat mir:

• Verlässlichkeit und Funktionsumfang
• Einfache, schnelle Programmierbarkeit über Shell-Kommandos (Versenden eines Inhalts über OBEX mit einem Befehl & Parametern)
• Erweiterbarkeit des Wrap Servers
• Allgemein: Kommunikation mit dem Unternehmen
• Sind selbst Hersteller der Bluetooth Module und entsprechend die besten Experten.

Unter Umständen sind einige Punkte problematisch (je nach Anwendungsfall):

• Das Gerät hat vorne eine Öffnung und ist nicht gegen Staub+Nässe geschützt
• Temperaturbereich: 0..55 Grad C
• Es sind im Normalfall max. 3 Bluetooth Module pro AccessPoint möglich
• Grundsätzlich bindet man sich stark an ein Unternehmen und dessen Software.

In Deutschland wird Bluegiga z.B. von Hy-Line vertrieben. Bei semiconductorstore.com (Kalifornien) kostet ein Bluegiga WRAP Server mit einem Bluetooth Modul $556,- und das SDK $640,-.
